Gippy Grewal is born in the family who is a Jat Sikh. His birth place is a village, Koom Kallan in Ludhiana that comes in Punjab. He is having good education till his school life and also holds a degree of Hotel Management. After dropping his career from that field, he entered in the Punjabi Music Industry.

He is known among those singers who are of today and he is having good vocal voice on various songs of different genres. He is the singers who are popular now days. His proper name is Bhupinder Singh Grewal. He actually sings those songs that set a mood for party and especially dancing songs. The career of Grewal is very bright in Punjabi Film Industry and he written new history in that kind of music when he entered with his first album, Chakk Lai.
